Could you mentor a University of Nottingham student?
We are all influenced by people throughout our lives, and this is especially true when poised to make a big decision, say about our career choices.
You could be the person who can provide a University of Nottingham student or recent graduate with the right support at the right time, in just the right way.
By volunteering to mentor a student or recent graduate as a part of the eMentoring scheme, you have the opportunity to channel your professional experience and commercial awareness into an informed career choice for that person.
The scheme is approximately a 6 month commitment, with contact taking place roughly twice a month over email or Skype to help to negate distance or schedule constraints. The first step is to register an alumni career profile with the University of Nottingham. The scheme starts in November 2012 so register today to empower alumni of the future through your success!
Go to www.nottingham.ac.uk/careers/getinvolved to register your career profile, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
And don’t forget, if you’re a recent graduate of Nottingham you can apply to be a mentee in the scheme. Visit www.nottingham.ac.uk/careers/ementoring and apply from 10th September for the scheme.
