May e-newsletter

Dear Alumni & Friends!

Things just got very interesting.  We’ve taken delivery of a brand new University of Nottingham online alumni community and we’re very keen to share it with you –

Like the old facility Nottingham Online is a dedicated alumni web space. It links you up to a whole community of former University of Nottingham students. It's a networking solution, a job-finding site, an event notice board and a way to keep in touch with the people who made your Nottingham experience so special.

Key features of the site include searchable online directories, online registration for events, manageable online profile, and address update capabilities. We hope that you enjoy your new online experience. Please log on, update your profile and visit as often as you can for current news and exciting events. Like we said, things just got very interesting and we’re very excited.
We are also very excited about our upcoming programme of events for alumni.  It’s become very clear to us that during any one week of the year there’s a group of Nottingham alumni getting together somewhere around the globe – and that’s a lovely thought.

For local alumni we’ve got another of our successful talk and tours – this time a celebration of the famous Nottingham bike company Raleigh on 29th May.  For alumni looking for a new direction or career change or seeking a graduate calibre position there is our Graduate Recruitment Fair 2008 on Monday 2nd June.

We’re also beginning to take bookings for the annual Golden Reunion which takes place on 11 October. For our US based alumni there is a reunion at the historic University of Virginia in Charlottesville, from 14-15 June, and alumni networking events in New York and Boston on 17th and 19th June respectively.  But that’s not all, see below for many more events.

Keep using the Noticeboard. It’s your space to post a message, celebrate a success, appeal to former friends or colleagues or simply announce something about yourself. Simply e-mail your messages to

If you enjoy the e-newsletters why not encourage your friends and fellow Nottingham alumni to register on the website and to request this monthly e-newsletter.
