Nana Damoah - Chemical Engineering 2006
My first book 'Excursions in my Mind', published by Athena press (London) was released in October 2008 and is available on Amazon. Born in Accra, Ghana, I hold an MSc in Chem Eng from University of Nottingham, UK, a BSc in Chem Eng from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and was at Ghana National College, Cape Coast for secondary education.
A British Council Chevening alumnus, I have worked with Unilever Ghana since 2000. Presently I am the Production Manager (Foods) in Tema factory. I am in the Prayer and Counselling department of Joyful Way Incorporated, a Christian Music ministry in Ghana, of which I was National President from 2002 to 2004. I started writing seriously in 1993 whilst in the Sixth form and had a number of my short stories published in ‘The Mirror’ and ‘The Spectator’. | Excursions in my Mind

 | In 1997, I won the first prize in the Step Magazine National Story Writing Competition. In KNUST, I was part of Literary Wing of the Interhall Christian Fellowship, where I acted and wrote poems. My poems were published in magazines on KNUST campus. I am happily married to Vivian and, with our sons, Nana Kwame Bassanyin and Nana Yaw Appiah, are based in Accra, Ghana. |
