That time of year has come round again when we celebrate the success of our students as they graduate and officially welcome them to the alumni community. The sun shone on our latest cohort of graduates, thousands of whom have now left Nottingham to make their way in the world. Earlier this year the University was rated as the number one choice for the country’s top graduate employers and many of our new alumni have been helped to secure top jobs thanks to the contribution of alumni to our widening participation, scholarship, Cascade and e-mentoring programmes.
As the Commonwealth Games are now underway in Glasgow, we’ll be cheering on our current students and alumni taking part in the competition. Congratulations to QMC A&E doctor Rachel Parish (Biochemistry and Genetics 2002) on her bronze in the Women's Double Trap Shooting. Look out for Isobel Pooley representing Team England in the High Jump today and don’t forget that the men’s hockey squad has two alumni representatives in George Pinner and Nick Catlin as well as current student Harry Martin. Good luck to them all.
